Role:

APIC is seeking to hire a Chief Financial Officer. The CFO will be expected to develop and direct the Company’s finance organization, analytical capabilities, and financial planning processes and policies. The CFO will report to the CEO and will collaborate closely with the executive team and board of directors for strategic planning purposes. The CFO will attend quarterly board meetings, provide monthly financial updates to the board, and deliver required reporting packages to key lending partners.

Duties:

• Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including receivables, payables, payroll, and tax.
• Responsible for the annual audit and the provision of information to the Company’s external auditors
• Develop and maintain appropriate tracking methods for revenue (Percentage of Completion - completed and WIP accounting), accounts receivable, inventory, and expenses.
• Supervise and track customer billing teams, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of invoices.
• Consolidate financials for the Company across all divisions and entities.
• Lead and manage the annual budgeting process; work closely with the executive team to achieve the set budget each year.
• Work closely with management to oversee and manage the annual capital investment plan.
• Prepare analysis, summaries, and reports of the financial and operating results of the Company, including profitability, cash flow, working capital, trends, and covenant compliance.
• Create and regularly maintain a 13-week cash flow forecast.
• Coordinate the preparation of annual, quarterly, and monthly reports, and attend monthly and quarterly meetings with the board of directors.
• Evaluate and oversee the implementation of accounting software and other supporting systems, as needed.
• Ensure Company compliance with all regulatory matters including tax laws, regulations specific to the construction services industry, licensing, and local and federal regulatory matters.
• Manage the Company’s insurance coverage and compliance with such coverage.
• Oversee treasury function and banking relationships, including the third-party lender to the Company; manage financial reports and required documentation to Company lender.
• Oversee facilities management, automobile fleet, and all capital expenditures.
• Work with the CEO and board of directors, as needed, to analyze operational results and lead FP&A
• Review potential M&A activity and support integration activities, including finance and accounting personnel, systems and technology, and operational related matters as needed.

Educational Requirements and Skills:

• Required: A bachelor’s degree Business or related field. Preferred: Concentration in finance or accounting, and/or master’s degree in business or finance preferred. CPA strongly preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in a finance leadership role with an exceptional understanding of business metrics.
• Experience with accounting practices and requirements, including ability to manage WIP schedules for a crew-based business.
• In-depth knowledge of financial benchmarking, accounting, audit and tax compliance, and other regulatory matters
• Proven work experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, or similar role
• Able to identify risks as well as opportunities to provide feedback on decisions affecting the financial results of the company.
• Experience with lender relationships and reporting

The position will be based at the company headquarters in Albuquerque, NM with an immediate start date.
