Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions within the insurance industry. You will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to identify areas for improvement, analyze business processes, and design and implement effective technology solutions.
Responsibilities:
Partner with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities for process improvement.
Analyze existing insurance workflows and identify opportunities for automation and efficiency gains.
Gather and document business requirements for new or enhanced insurance systems.
Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development teams.
Work collaboratively with developers, testers, and other IT professionals to ensure successful implementation of solutions.
Develop and maintain system documentation, including user guides and training materials.
Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure systems meet business needs.
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in insurance technology.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role.
Proven experience working in the insurance industry is a strong plus.
Strong understanding of insurance products, processes, and regulations.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with business process modeling tools and techniques is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) is preferred.
