Duties:
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, collecting and documenting patient information, and assisting with examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers and ensure accurate documentation.
- Perform medical administrative support tasks such as calling patients, managing patient records, and coordinating referrals.
- Assist with coding and billing processes to ensure accurate and timely submission of claims.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing medical instruments and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Follow infection control protocols to prevent the spread of diseases.
- Provide basic life support in emergency situations.
Requirements:
- Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of human physiology.
- Experience in administering medications and performing basic clinical procedures.
- Knowledge of coding and billing processes in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
- Ability to accurately take vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiratory rate.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Note: X-Ray experience is a plus but not required.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
