Certified Medical Assistant

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting healthcare professionals, performing administrative tasks, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the medical facility. We treat both pediatric and adult patients with allergic and immunologic disease. The job is split between administrative and clinical duties.

Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, obtaining medical history, and assisting with examinations and procedures
- Administer basic life support and first aid when necessary
- Performing skin testing, spirometry, allergen immunotherapy and other procedures as ordered
- Assist with patient education
- Perform medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments, answering phones, maintaining patient records, and managing billing and insurance information
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate efficient workflows
- Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards in healthcare

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or similar role
- Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient service
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Skills:
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of medical administrative procedures and systems
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) software
- Understanding of patient confidentiality laws and regulations

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
