Salary: $100,000 - 120,000/year
This position allows for 3 days per week remote / work from home.
Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programs to meet regulatory and company requirements
- Anticipate, identify and respond to customer needs for health, safety and radiation / laser safety compliance
- Serve as a technical mentor and provide leadership to hazardous materials management, exposure assessment, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, radiation / laser safety, asbestos management, ergonomics, and health hazard controls.
- Provide recommendations on the implementation of engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and work practices based on interpretation of sampling data.
- Seek and identify opportunities to enhance company Lafayette Operations EHS programs through networking and benchmarking with other company plant locations, associations with regulatory personnel and other corporations.
- Serve as the company Lafayette Operations Radiation and Laser Safety Officer and maintain accountability for NRC and IDPH compliance.
- Provide technical support on issues related to approving the use of hazardous materials to be used on-site and exporting the company final products.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Safety Sciences, Public Health, Biology, or Chemistry from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 2 years professional work experience in Safety and Hygiene field
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulatory requirements
- CIH or Certified Industrial Hygienist Certification Required
