This position is Onsite. The hiring rate is $22 per hour.
General Summary:
Under general supervision of the ERSEA Supervisor, the Centralized Eligibility Advocate (CEA) will manage a caseload of participants; provide assistance in planning, developing and implementing various activities related to the Head Start Birth to Five and California State Preschool programs. The CEA will collaborate with program staff and families to ensure the Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance process is effectively implemented and in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The CEA will identify children that may be in need of specialized services through the completion of the application process.
This position is full time, 40 hours per week; may work a non-traditional schedule as needed (i.e., weeknights and weekends). This is an on-site work environment at the headquarters’ office location.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Within a team environment, CEA will perform the following responsibilities:
Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment and Attendance 60%, Ongoing Monitoring and Program Oversight 25%, and Regulations 15%
Job Specifications
Minimum Required
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Experience: Two years of experience in customer service field and/or in a family support program.
- Bilingual Required: Ability to converse, write and/or translate in English and Spanish
- Travel: This position requires 10% of travel. Will consist of travel to and from Head Start centers and recruitment events. May use CCRC company vehicles, when available or personal vehicle and will be subject to Driver Management Policy requirements (i.e., valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance and a clean driving record required).
- Background & Health Clearance Requirements: Head Start / CCP
- Criminal Records (e.g. Live Scan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index Check, Sexual Offender Registry, Health and Tuberculosis (TB) test clearances required.
