Job Duties and Accountabilities
Principal Function of the Position:
Operating a Shag Truck safely to designated locations while adhering to all regulations. Moves material within the warehouse or storage facility to and from the manufacturing floor or loading platform by carrying, pushing, rolling, or operating hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, or other material handling equipment.
Primary Duties:
- Operate semi-tractor/trailer between facilities.
- Operates a fork Truck and overhead cranes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Organizes and stores steel components inside and outside of the building.
- Moves finished fabricated parts to next operation on shop order.
- Loads and unloads trucks both inside and outside.
- Daily safety checks on Truck and trailer, maintain equipment in clean safe condition
- Identify, count, and stock incoming parts.
- Update purchased and fabricated parts receipts on task sheets.
- Communicate with others about parts shortages and related issues.
- Maintain accurate system inventory records.
- Perform cycle counts and make inventory adjustments.
- Help in the Kitting Department.
- Set up parts of the system for the product engineering group.
- Other assigned tasks that are related to the position.

Physical Demand
- Sit for long periods of time.

- Use fingers to grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.

- Hold the arm and hand in one position or hold the hand steady while moving the arm.
- Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects.
- See the differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
- Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
- Make quick, precise adjustments to machine controls.
- Move two or more limbs together (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while remaining in place.
- Focus on one source of sound and ignore others.
Education Requirements
-High school diploma or GED
Prerequisite Skills and Work Experience
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and Medical Card.
- Minimum 2-4 years experience driving commercial vehicles and/or tractor-trailers.
- Able to understand and follow instructions given in English.
- Basic Math and Computer skills.
