The Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) oversees and operates Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), and other state public health programs for qualified Coloradans. We are looking for a CCM Operations Analyst to join our Department of Health Care Policy & Financing in the Office of Community Living!

This position can work fully remotely from anywhere in the State of Colorado.

**Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.**

What You'll be Doing:


Position leads stabilization and enhancement coordination activities of the Case and Case Management system. Leads projects with the Health Information Office Care, Case Management Team, and the Health Information Office Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Subject Matter Expert to develop and refine the CCM system with management relying on the role to make strategic decisions about scope and timelines Position also ensures the system is operating in accordance with Office of Community Living business processes and statutory/regulatory requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Business or Health Care Administration, Information Systems, Applied Technology, Human Services, Social Services or a field of study related to the work assignment AND three years of professional experience in long-term services and supports (LTSS) case management or administration, regulation and compliance, policy development, program management or an occupational field closely related to the work assigned to the position.
Substitutions:
Additional appropriate experience will substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous state experience with Medicaid

  • Prior experience in troubleshooting and performing system testing of large computer systems, preferable Medicaid claims processing systems or Medicaid care and case management systems

  • Professional experience documenting process, creating workflows, and training/assisting users and/or testers on Medicaid care and case management systems

  • Previous experience with gathering requirements

  • Experience creating technical design documents

  • Experience in translating end user requirements into technical specifications

  • Experience project management support to term-limited or ongoing projects

  • Knowledge of Colorado's LTSS and/or HCBS programs and services

  • Working knowledge of IT systems used in the Colorado case management system, e.g., BUS, Bridge, interChange, CBMS, DDDWeb, etc.

  • Experience leading projects, workgroups and stakeholder engagement efforts.

DEFINITION OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: Work that involves exercising discretion, analytical skill, judgment, personal accountability, and responsibility for creating, developing, integrating, applying, and sharing an organized body of knowledge that characteristically is uniquely acquired through an intense education or training regimen at a recognized college or university; equivalent to the curriculum requirements for a bachelor's or higher degree with major study in or pertinent to the specialized field; and continuously studied to explore, extend, and use additional discoveries, interpretations, and application and to improve data, materials, equipment, applications and methods.


CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • All positions at HCPF are security sensitive positions and require that the individuals undergo a criminal record background check as a condition of employment.

Comparative Analysis Process
