Job Summary:
The T/R Module Products section in the Apertures and RF Department is responsible for the design, test, manufacture, and support of T/R Modules, transmit-receive integrated modules (TRIMMs) and panel assemblies and is currently searching for 2024 Summer Interns.
A successful candidate is one who can participate in a multi-disciplined team and properly apply engineering tools and processes.
A candidate with interests, studies, research, or experiences which are technically broad will be a possible fit in our group. All Candidates will work within a larger team at Raytheon. Interns perform meaningful engineering tasks for their assigned projects but will also have access to a variety of career development opportunities. These include access to technical mentors and the ability to “shadow” experienced professionals in order to better learn about real industry positions.
This position is an onsite role.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Gathering and analyzing RF test data
Documenting test requirements and procedures
COTS Digital and RF component research
Schematic, PWB, and CCA Document Creation
Possible environmental test support (thermal and vibration)
RF system cascade analysis
This position can be a Sophomore Technical Intern or Junior Technical Intern or Senior Technical Intern or Post Graduate Technical Intern based on the candidate's classification as determined by grad year on resume and provided via questionnaire by candidate as outlined below:
(Freshman Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Sophomore Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Junior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Senior Technical Intern) - must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program
(Post-Graduate Technical Intern)- must have an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate degree program (in degree fields listed in Qualifications You Must Have) by start of internship
Basic Qualifications:
Must be at least a sophomore by the start of Summer 2024 and pursuing a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree majoring in Electrical Engineering, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major.
Computer Aided Design (CAD) experience.
Experience with electrical circuits and/or some lab experience.
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
ABET is the preferred, although not required accreditation standard. 3.0 cumulative GPA desired.
Familiar with RF test equipment
Familiar with schematic capture, PWB, and CCA document creation
