TEKsystems is seeking 2 Cellular Network Administration resources.

These resources will be working remotely supporting typical Alaska business hours. However, there is some flexibility for alternate shift schedules to accommodate resources in different timezones, and the ability to work a 4x10 shift or 5x8
Mid-level position in the administration profession. Must have a comprehensive understanding of telecommunications operations and functions and be familiar with Engineering functions, aspects, applicable codes, and standards. Receives general guidance, periodic review, and direction from supervisor engineers. Participates in larger projects and can be counted on to complete specific assigned tasks on time and within budgeted costs. Capable of performing the role of Network Administrator for small projects. Demonstrated time management skills to manage multiple complex issues/tickets smoothly and professionally on time.
Years of Experience required to meet minimum qualifications: Minimum of four years’ experience in any combination within the fields listed below:
• Progressive Network experience in the information technology field.
• Experience in network development and networking environments.
• Experience working with moderate to complex project management within a telecommunications environment or related field.
Level of Education required to meet minimum qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Certifications: Industry-specific certifications are highly valued and contribute toward the education required.
Preferred certifications
• CCNA or JNCIA
• CCNP or JNCIP (Highly Desirable)

Essential Duties
• Ensures the integrity of high-availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance in design, implementation, and support.
• Implements network and/or system facilities utilizing standard engineering concepts of availability, efficiency, redundancy, scalability, and security.
• Implements new solutions and continues improvement of the current network and/or systems facilities.
• Maximizes performance using network monitoring tools, troubleshooting network and/or system outages, scheduling updates, and collaborating with architects on optimization.
• Maintains professional skillset by participating in educational opportunities, technical organizations, reading professional publications, and personal use of technology.
• Provides detailed reports on network operational status, and milestones related to project completion.
• Configures router, and switch hardware in support of network operations and projects.
• Capable of remote site support for off-site personnel and customers.
• Audits, forecasts, and manages capacity of IP addressing, bandwidth forecasting, hardware, software licensing, and hosted devices.
