Supervises: No supervisory duties in this position.
Classification:
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum one year of management experience, preferably in a hospitality
- Preferred experience in Adobe Acrobat
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Point of Sale systems; capable of creating Excel spread sheets.
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
- Knowledge of club’s Jonas system and procedures to add pertinent information for successful event.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and pressure.
- Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations.
Job Summary (Essential Functions)
Support the Director of Banquets & Catering, as well as the Events Manager on bookings, follow up emails, answering the phone for Banquets Department. Responsibilities include the printing and organizing and providing information in support of all Banquet events and other duties as assigned. Employee will be working in an office environment will have a shared desk and computer. This is NOT a remote position.
Job Tasks/Duties
- Supports on the data Entry for the club’s Banquet events.
- Assists members and guests on questions of daily private functions/events regarding menus or changes and share with Director of Banquets & Catering and Events Manager.
- Manages the telephone calls and communicates daily all updates.
- Assists with completing BEO’s details and oversees all admin duties assigned.
- Administrative support and duties as assigned by Events Manager and Director of Banquets & Catering
- Performs all administrative duties in the Banquet Office.
- Answers phones from Members and relays information to Director and Manager.
- Must be knowledgeable of Banquet processes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Must be able to keep composure during periods of high incoming phone calls and/or in-person requests.
- Required to sit for long periods approx. 6-7 hours a day and sometimes walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch and twist or reach.
- Push, pull or lift up to 15-20 pounds.
- Continuous repetitive motions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
