We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Category Manager to join our growing team. The Category Manager will be largely focused on supporting our sales function and will play a crucial role in developing strategic initiatives and crafting innovative solutions to enhance the performance of our sales team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional communication skills, and a proven track record in sales planning and strategy development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with Sales Leadership and Team Member Experience (TMX) to understand business objectives and sales goals
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and patient behavior to identify strategic opportunities
- Develop comprehensive sales strategies that align with overall business objectives
- Solution Crafting:
- Conduct research to understand patient needs and challenges, and current PCC process and tool pain points/opportunities
- Identify trends and insights
- Design solutions that address PCC requirements and pain points, and contribute to revenue growth
- Prepare proposals
- Deliver presentations
- Manage projects from inception through launch/post-launch support/results tracking
- Forecasting and Analytics:
- Utilize data analytics and sales forecasting tools to provide insights into sales performance
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies based on data-driven analysis
- Prepare regular reports on sales trends, forecasts, and performance against targets
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster strong cross-functional collaboration with TMX vertical leads, PT Experience (PX), marketing, IT, and other relevant departments
- Launch projects and communicate changes effectively to the sales team
- Provide ongoing training and support to ensure the successful implementation of sales plans
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends related to sales
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize sales processes
- Seek feedback from the sales team to refine strategies and improve overall effectiveness
Requirements
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
- Proven experience in sales planning, business planning, category management, project management, strategy development, and/or solution crafting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in using sales analytics tools and CRM software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills
