Salary: 43,500 48,500
The Case Manager/Adoption Care Expert (ACE) - Adoptive Family will work with clients who have made the decision to adopt. They will provide client-centered, culturally competent and trauma-informed services to clients. Staff will work with adoptive families to understand and manage their expectations of the adoption process and the available adoption options. This role will work with clients to provide resources, information, and referrals to support the clients needs and goals
The Case Manager/Adoption Care Expert will:
Conduct initial assessments and decision counseling to determine if adoption is a good choice for their family
Facilitate the home study process
Prior to matching and adoption, provide extensive training on:
General parenting
Child development
Adoption specific issues
Transracial adoption
Assist with legal representation separate from the birth mother
Grief and Loss counseling and support throughout adoption and post adoption
Post adoption services that including but not limited to counseling, support groups, and extended training
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in social work or other human services related field
If Bachelor of Social Work than licensure or ability to be licensed is required
Preferred Education/Experience:
Master's degree in social work or other human services related field
If Master of Social Work than licensure or ability to be licensed is required
