Responsibilities:
- Provide personal assistance to clients in various settings, such as their homes or assisted -Assist clients with daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of clients by following established protocols and guidelines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Assist with household tasks, such as light housekeeping and running errands.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and report any changes in condition to the appropriate parties.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients.
- Stay updated on current practices and regulations related to social work, resident rights, hospice care, dementia care, and assisted living.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in personal assistance or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of social work principles and practices.
- Familiarity with resident rights and regulations in assisted living facilities.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to provide compassionate care to individuals with various medical conditions, including dementia.
- Proficient in medication administration and knowledgeable about common medications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- First aid certification and recent TB test a plus.
