Your Role and Responsibilities:
As a Cardiovascular Technologist, your primary role is to provide direct care following established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. You will take proactive responsibility and accountability for multiple patients during designated time frames, adhering to policies and procedures while working collaboratively within our dedicated team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment.
- Provide quality patient care and maintain required cath lab competencies.
- Explain procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety.
- Handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures with discretion and confidentiality.
- Interact with physicians during routine and emergency procedures, assisting with data collection and interpretation.
- Work effectively in a team environment with colleagues of similar abilities and responsibilities.
- Be available for "on-call" assignments and return to the facility within 30 minutes for emergency cases.
Qualifications:
π Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology or equivalently accredited allied health program, or Certified/registered in cardiovascular technology (RCIS).
π License/Certifications:
- State Registered Radiologic Technician, Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Florida state radiology license if ARRT.
- BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required.
- ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of hire.
π Experience:
- Must demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic invasive cardiovascular technology, such as EKG, patient assessment, and care management, etc.
- 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience preferred.
Additional Details:
- On-call duties are required (must be within 30 minutes from the facility).
- Shifts mainly consist of 8/10-hour days.
