Job Opening Summary
The Cath Lab Cardiovascular Technologist, under the direction the of the director/charge person, monitors procedures, including all diagnostic and interventional coronary and peripheral catheterization studies; ensures safe patient care; and works as a scrub assistant.
Education Requirements:
- Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology, radiologic technology or respiratory therapy. In lieu of education requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of experience and:
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification (required within 12 months of hire) or
- Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification (required within 12 months of hire).
Licensure/Certification/Registration Requirements:
- Florida Certified Radiologic Technologist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (preferred), or Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist license with valid American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (preferred).
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification or Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification (required within 12 months of hire if no degree in the applicable fields).
- BLS
- ACLS
Special Skills/Qualifications/Additional Training/Experience Required:
- Must be able to read, write in, speak and understand English.
