Top Client Seeks Cardiovascular Technologist
Summary and Qualifications:
We are actively seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to join our healthcare team. In this role, your primary function is to provide direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. Working with a dedicated team that operates like family, you will proactively assume responsibility and accountability for multiple patients during a designated time frame while adhering to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assume responsibility for routine care and maintenance of radiological equipment.
- Ensure quality patient care, maintain required cath lab competencies, and assist in all aspects of invasive or non-invasive cardiac procedures.
- Explain all procedures to patients to alleviate anxiety.
- Handle emergency situations during high-risk procedures with discretion and confidentiality.
- Interact with physicians during routine and emergency procedures, assisting with data interpretation and recording.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment with individuals having similar abilities and responsibilities.
- Willingness to assume "on-call" assignments and return to the facility within 30 minutes for emergency cases.
Who Will Be a Great Fit?
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of cardiovascular technology or equivalently accredited allied health program or Certified/registered in cardiovascular technology (RCIS).
License/Certifications:
- State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Florida state radiology license if ARRT.
- BLS-American Heart Association BLS Provider issued card required.
- ACLS-American Heart Association ACLS Provider issued card required within 6 months of hire.
Experience:
- Must demonstrate knowledge and competence in basic invasive cardiovascular technology, including EKG, patient assessment, and care management, etc.
- 1 year Cath Lab Technologist experience preferred.
Extra Details:
- On-call availability is required (must be within 30 minutes from the facility).
- Shifts are primarily 8/10 hours.
Key Requirements:
- State Registered Radiologic Technician, or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), or Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
- Florida state radiology license if ARRT.
- 1 year Cath Lab Technologist experience preferred
