The Car Wash Manager at Rocket will manage, direct and supervise the daily operations of the Car Wash, including ensuring that the facility is staffed, and schedules are created to meet business needs. He/ She will maintain a pleasant and courteous environment for customers and team members according to Company goals, policies, and procedures. The Car Wash Manager is responsible for a variety of items including, but not limited to, adhering to and enforcing proper cash handling procedures and analyzing daily sales and expenses, and achieving sales and profitability targets. The Car Wash Manager is responsible for maintaining safe operations, ensuring all associates adhere to company safety protocols and that all equipment and tools are maintained correctly. The Car Wash Manager is also responsible for the cleanliness of the facility and ensuring that the facility groundskeeping and general appearance is maintained to company standards. The Car Wash Manager is responsible for all basic record-keeping, including scheduling. He/ She is also responsible for analyzing site sales, managing inventory, driving profitability and cash control. This position reports to the District Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Hire, coach, manage and train Car Wash team including Car Wash Associates, General Labor and Ticket Writers.
- Create team schedules and ensure the facility is staffed correctly according to sales needs while delivering on labor budgets.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures are adhered to and sales are recorded correctly.
- Ensure the location provides excellent and consistent customer service and directly respond to any customer questions, concerns, or complaints.
- Review and analyze sales, partner with the District Manager to develop sales strategies, train and develop team on sales techniques and ensure sales goals are achieved.
- Monitor inventory and ensure correct ordering of required materials.
- Ensure the correct use of Car wash equipment. This includes monitoring equipment use and notifying the Facilities Maintenance team of needed repairs.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the facility including the upkeep of groundskeeping and general appearance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
• 5+ years of experience working in a Car Wash site with supervisory responsibility is required. Prior experience as a for a Car Wash is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• A High School diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• Must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the United States if hired.
• Must have a valid and infraction-free Driver's License and proof of insurance.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written is required.
• Ability to coach develop employees through knowledge of supervisory methods, principles and techniques.
• Be physically able to lift, push, pull a minimum of 20 lbs.
• Be able to work irregular shifts, including weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
• Significant amount of work is performed outdoors.
• Ability to stand and/or walk for at least 8 hours.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 20 pounds from ground to overhead up to 30 minutes of workday (i.e., assisting in stocking/maintaining inventory levels) with appropriate safety equipment's.
