Job Summary
The Project Logistics and Import specialist position focuses on ensuring adherence with company policy and procedures as they relate to import compliance, Customs or import laws, regulations, and procedures as well as general knowledge in domestic and global logistics.
Job Description
- Provide guidance and support to Capital Projects assisting with HTS classification, duties/tariffs assessment, ADCVD case applicability under consultation with the logistics managers/Project Logistics lead.
- Serve as point of contact for projects needing guidance on customs procedures and import law compliance. Requirements include compliance with applicable Free Trade Agreements, customs marking and labeling requirements, country of origin verification and documentation.
- Coordinate all logistics activities for each project assigned along with the project freight forwarding and brokerage team and the project teams including material management.
- Work closely with the procurement and material management team and the overall project teams.
- Maintain records as required by the client’s policy/project definition
- This position may require flexible work hours to support Customs related activities or project specific requirements.
- Selected candidate will be part of Logistics teams. The candidate should be prepared to quickly adjust to the Project Logistics including import Customs needs for all projects within the company.
Skills Required
- 3+ years’ work experience within the freight forwarding/Customs Brokerage or manufacturing sector and/or EPC companies.
- Some experience with classification of products for oil/gas/refinery projects under the Harmonized Tariff Schedule.
- Customs broker license is preferred but not requirement.
- Experience working with Free Trade Agreements; Section 232 and 301 tariffs; ADCVD cases; Modules/Pipe spools importation.
