Posting Summary
Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey, a National Cancer Institute (NCI) Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, seeks applications for a clinical research position at the Assistant/ Associate professor level to join the Duncan and Nancy MacMillan Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence. We seek candidates with research emphasis on Cancer Immunotherapy and Cell Therapy, with a focus on first-in-human clinical trials conducted at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey using unique institutional resources such as on-site GMP manufacturing and state-of-the-art immune monitoring. Clinical focus is open with additional opportunities in Phase I development.
The successful candidate will join a team of researchers and clinicians of the newly established Cancer Immunology and Metabolism Center of Excellence, a $30 million initiative co-directed by Drs. Christian Hinrichs and Eileen White. The Program is built on our existing strengths in cancer metabolism and immunological research in partnership with Princeton University, and its clinical translation through our robust CAR-T therapy program with onsite GMP manufacturing and first-in-human clinical trials. The research program is based on an iterative bench to bedside strategy of investigator-initiated research in which laboratory discovery drives clinical trials, and clinical trials drive laboratory research.
