The Senior Manager,Value Stream Portfolio Lead position is responsible for supporting the S&BO Value Stream Lead in overseeing the execution of the Value Stream portfolio and programs at a Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell (CAR-T) Cell Therapy manufacturing facility. This role collaborates with site and global stakeholders across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, IT (Information Technology), facilities, manufacturing science & technology, and other functional areas on projects to expand and improve clinical and commercial operations at the facility.
Typical programs supported by this role include site readiness for new trials or launches, implementation of modern technologies and materials, IT system updates and migrations, changes to the physical plant layout, and technical and business process changes. The Value Stream Portfolio Lead contributes to the success of the site by applying a structured project management and OpEx approach to portfolio planning and execution that promotes successful delivery of complex programs. Given the dynamic nature of Cell Therapy capabilities, these programs require an individual who can provide structure while quickly adapting to change, moving program teams forward and making decisions.
Responsibilities:

• Support the Value Stream S&BO Lead in Value Stream strategy development and deployment in partnership with Site S&BO Lead.
• Assist the Value Stream S&BO Lead in direct development, integration and realization of plans associated with Value Stream and Brand strategies.
• Coordinate with the Value Stream S&BO Lead in leading the alignment of clear Value Stream objectives and key performance metrics and ensure accountability via data analytics and reporting tools.
• Support Value Stream OpEx initiatives driving performance improvement in all aspects of site operations with a focus on improving Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People.
• Support major Value Stream business change initiatives to achieve desired business results.
• Facilitate program, steering committee and coordination meetings - set schedule, develop content and follow up on actions and status.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Experience in program management and direct implementation of projects that drive continuous improvement (Project Management and Operational Excellence).
• Deep understanding of the end-to end manufacturing process and ability to identify areas for improvement in key process steps.
• Ability to translate data into actionable tasks (Six Sigma/Lean techniques).
• Proficient in negotiation, problem solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to use project management tools efficiently to execute on strategic priorities.
• Above average Excel knowledge and use skills (Pareto, Roadmap, database, pivots, Glidepath etc.). Smartsheet is beneficial.
• Ability to identify and track KPI's for performance management.
• Communication skills geared to influence all levels of the business.
• Ability to create executive level presentations and summaries to enable decision-making with site leadership.
• Ability to lead or support Kaizen events.
• Knowledge of financial, operational, and business management principles.
• Able to navigate across a global matrix organization, communicate at multiple levels and influence others to achieve results.
• Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills. Understands detailed relationships and can quickly assess the impact of new information.
• Comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment. Able to prioritize across competing demands.
• A passion for learning and improvement including a desire to advance project management proficiency.
• An enthusiastic team player with a desire to build positive relationships and contribute to a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

Preferred Requirements:

• B.S. in Engineering, Pharmacy, science or technical discipline, advanced degree desirable.
• 8+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in life sciences.
• PMP and Green Belt strongly preferred.

Working Conditions:

• The lighting, temperature, air quality and noise-level are within normal standards for office space. This position will require a high percentage of typing / computer work.
