My name is Patty Serge with Chipton Ross. I have the following 18 month contract to possible Direct hire in Raytown, MO.

 

Chipton-Ross is seeking a Customer Service Representative for a contract opportunity in Kansas City, MO.

 

This position requires successful completion of CARR-Reveal Assessment administered by Evergy. As well as interview(s) with Evergy leadership that can occur via phone, via video call, or in person.

 

This position is 100% in the office.

 

Training is typically 4-5 weeks starting on or around July 19, 2023. Training schedule is tentatively scheduled for 8:30am -5:00pm (with a 30-minute unpaid lunch) Monday through Friday (40 hours per week through the training class period) Candidate must be able to commit to training with NO TIME OFF.

 

Absences and tardiness are highly discouraged and not recommended. If a pattern with attendance is determined and/or candidate is not progressing at any time, they will be removed.

 

After training is completed, candidates will be assigned a full time regular 8-hour shift, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7am -7pm. (with 1-hour unpaid lunch). The assigned hours can vary based on business need. Occasional OT or Holdover based on business need. This is a 100% in office position.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

They will be responsible for handling applications for service, extension of facilities, new service and construction, and high bill inquiries.

They must be able to furnish detailed account information to customers and respond to customer inquiries regarding bill payment.

They will perform detailed analysis such as: rate adjustments, various meter orders, and resolve disputes.

They will perform credit and collection work, receive, and make dispositions, and handle customer inquiries, complaints, requests for adjustment, and other duties as assigned.

Must have knowledge of the computer keyboard and type 40 words per minute.

They must be able to demonstrate appropriate communication skills: verbal, written, and grammar.

Their skills should include experience in business math, business writing, interpersonal relations, analyzing, judgment, listening, decision making, and teamwork.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Must have basic clerical, bookkeeping, account knowledge and shall be qualified through knowledge, training, and experience to interview customers in person, by telephone, internet, fax or any other communications medium.

They must have personal characteristics suitable for making contacts with customers and the public.

2 years Customer Service with knowledge and experience in CCB system preferred.

Solid attendance is a requirement.

While on the job candidates are subject holdover (work beyond scheduled working hours) when storms occur, and call volume is heavy.

 

EDUCATION:

Accredited HSD/GED

Preferred candidates possess an associates or bachelor's degree or have the equivalent work experience.

 

WORK HOURS:

Full-Time
