Cafe/Coffee Shop Manager : Pam's Coffy

Job description

We are seeking a Coffee Shop Manager to join our team! You will be responsible for providing customers with a memorable experience! The location is Pam's Coffy (located next to the Vista Theater in Los Feliz). It's a small and quaint location owned by a well known film director. Traditional diner coffee and machinery with a quirky menu and cereal bar. Designed for the local community and as a destination spot. Confidentiality and professionalism is a must. Manager must know how to work with inventory, schedules, training, etc and will work closely with VP. It's not your traditional coffee shop (no expresso/cappuccino machines) it's slow drip pour over coffee diner machines with an eclectic menu. Must have 2 + years in cafe, coffee shop, restaurant management experience. Join us for a fun and groovy time!

Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the coffee shop, ensuring smooth and efficient service
- Manage and train café staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
- Assist w/ new hires
- Create and maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers
- Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and loyalty
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders for supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards
- Collaborate with staff to develop and update menu offerings and activities
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional manner
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations

Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant management, coffee shop or cafe preferred
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of kitchen management procedures and best practices
- Familiarity with software systems is an advantage
- Understanding of food safety regulations and ability to enforce them
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Effective problem solving
- Frequent standing position
- Must be able to lift 20-30lbs
- GED or High School Diploma

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $22.00 - $32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
