Hoefner Corporation, a manufacturer of Complex Precision Aerospace Machined Parts has immediate opening for the following position:
Quality Assurance Manager for small 20-man manufacturing shop
Requirements: Education and/or Experience, High school Diploma or equivalent. Overall leadership and organizational skills
- ·Language Skills: Must have solid reading, writing, and comprehension skills to understand instructions, correspondence, and memos. Strong communication skills are needed to effectively present information to customers, clients, and employees.
- Technical Skills: Basic computer skills. Such as using word processing software, creating spreadsheets, using printers and other work-related equipment, or looking up information online. CMM programing a plus
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Has the responsibility for Quality Assurance for entire organization and manages the operations of the Quality Department to ensure product quality and AS 9100 compliance.
- Holds the position of the Quality Management Representative
- Manages Department resources in a manner to support and achieve stated departmental and business objectives.
- Operate the Quality System while evaluating, analyzing, and reporting on product and process quality performance.
- Calibration of Measuring Equipment and Training of QC Inspectors as required.
- Has the authority to disposition non-conformities
- Has the authority to approve and disapprove suppliers.
- Authorized to approve changes to production processes.
- Has Access and Read /Write Authority to the Digital Product Definition Database.
- Creating and Dispositioning NCR in Simpletrak
- Has the authority to release the product or service for delivery.
- ls responsible for ensuring that all internal and external findings are status, processed correctly and input into Simpletrak NCR module.
- Has the authority to perform internal audits and/or validate and approve internal audits performed by a 3rd party.
- Shares responsibility with supervisors making accountability recordings on planning documentation.
- Read and comprehend Blueprints and specifications.
- Handle certification audits.
- CMM background a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years experience.
- Starting wages at $50.00 plus on qualified candidates based on overall skills.
