Cafe Supervisor

We are looking for a Cafe Supervisor to assist our Director of Operations with organizing daily operations and motivating our staff to provide excellent customer service. Cafe Supervisor responsibilities include scheduling shifts for staff, assisting with monitoring daily expenses and revenues, inventory and ordering supplies like coffee, milk and snacks, as needed.

In addition to the responsibilities mentioned below, this position will work on the floor at the counter (FOH) serving and getting to know our members and club staff, a large part of the time.

To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops or Cafe's. You should be flexible in your availability to work including working early morning opening hours, including some afternoons, evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with managing day-to-day operations of the cafe
• Assist with interviewing and training new staff
• Assist with Coordinating with vendors and order supplies, as needed (like takeaway cups, coffee, milk and other ingredients)
• Assist with maintaining records of daily, weekly and monthly revenues and expenses
• Assist with ideas and adding new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences
• Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy
• Nurture friendly relationships with our members to increase loyalty and boost our reputation

Skills

• Work experience as a Cafe Supervisor or Barista
• Hands-on experience with professional food and beverage ordering and cost control
• Good math skills
• Availability to work within our CAFE hours (including weekends and holidays)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to assist with leading and motivating a team
• Customer service attitude
• High school diploma
• Additional certification SERVE SAFE and/or Supervisor SERVE SAFE preferred
• This is a P/T hourly paid position at $20.00hr with eligibility for a free membership with a min of 20 hrs per week worked.
