Cad Technician - Land Development

The Impact You'll Have:

Alliant Engineering, Inc. has an exciting opening for a CAD Technician to join our growing Land Development team in our Minneapolis, MN office.
As a CAD Technician, you will be part of a team that will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in Minnesota. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of plan production and experience with CAD applications and practices in the field of civil design. You will work under the direction of a licensed Professional Engineer.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to drafting and design
• Completes detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specification, and written and verbal instructions using computer-aided drafting programs
• Ability to set up complete engineering plan sets based on industry standards with minimal direction
• Reviews all work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to Project Engineer or Project Manager for review
• Revises or changes drawings, traces and/or copies existing drawings and completes calculations with specific instructions
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Detail oriented and ability to collaborate with multiple project managers

Required Qualifications:

• At least two (2) years Civil 3D experience.
