Altimate Medicaling Holdings, Inc. is in search of aNew Product DevelopmentCAD Designer todesign and develop new medical device products and their components. The focus areas will include new project-based Product Development of medical device products used in clinics, physical therapy offices, and homes, both in the USA and abroad. The CAD Designer's work includes concept development, product design, documentation, problem-solving, motion simulation, optimization, and testing of mechanical components to full products. They design components for manufacturability and cost.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Design/draft mechanical components, structures, and assemblies for Durable Medical Equipment such as rehabilitative equipment, using ideas gained from brainstorming sessions and under the guidance of design engineers. Projects may be both self-driven and assigned, depending on the project.
- Actively participate in design sessions and brainstorming, researching same-field product and competition.
- Complete tasks as designated by project leaders
- Plan and manage small projects or subtasks
- Follow the design process and provide the proper documentation including DHF files as required.
- Understands and adheres to Quality & Compliance policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict organization of CAD files per internal document control standards and policies (e.g., revision control, approval workflows, etc.)
- Be on location up to 50% of the time in Redwood Falls
- Travel to Kansas City, MO up to 25% of the time
- Follows safety procedures and maintains a clean and safe work environment.
- Utilizes appropriate personal protective equipment where/when necessary.
- Contributes to a respectful, non-hostile, non-violent work environment.
- Understands the purpose, value, and impact work has on product customers and users.
- Other duties as assigned.
