Buyer/Planner

JBT Diversified Food & Health is a prime solutions and equipment provider within the Fresh Produce Technologies industry segment.

JBT Corporation is seeking a Buyer/Planner for our Riverside, CA location to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to take ownership of their day-to-day responsibilities, work cross-functionally when needed and effectively communicate as any issues arise. 

A Buyer/Planner at JBT works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where multi-tasking, prioritizing, and organization is a must!  This position will ensure that parts and components are procured in a timely manner to meet production deadlines and is responsible for communication across departments to ensure that customer delivery dates are met.

Schedule: 7 am - 3:30 pm  (Monday - Friday)

• Procurement activities supporting Fresh Produce Technologies (FPT) equipment product line
• Perform MRP analysis at least once a week and release work orders to Production Floor. Close work orders upn completion and issue product into inventory.
• Investigate work order material discrepencies.
• Perform capacity planning, including analysis of "what if" situations.
• Planning FPT Equipment projects to meet contractual requirements and delivery date
• Close collaboration with engineering, production, and vendors to create project timelines and priorities
• Managing all work order processing related to equipment projects
• Inventory management to ensure products required to support the equipment business are available as needed

Mandatory Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Experience in ERP/MRP; JD Edwards experience a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years in a production planning/purchasing or similar position
• Complete working knowledge of fully integrated business systems
• Proficient with MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
• Extreme organization and prioritizing skills required                                   

Preferred Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field
• APICS and/or CPM Certified
• Experience in Mechanical Power Transmission Industry or Products

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Spend most of the time in an office environment.
• This is an site based role that will require presence on site full time.

Annual Salary Range is $70,000 to $84,000 plus benefits and incentive plans.  Compensation may vary based on skills.
