The OEM Buyer is the point-person for our global supply base within the OEM Business Unit. In addition to daily interaction with our suppliers this role will works closely with the Business Unit Lead, internal Supplier Quality Engineers, Reliability Engineers, and Demand Planning team to ensure the highest quality appliance is delivered to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direction and leadership for OEM products in the following activities: Supplier Qualification, Supplier Surveillance Auditing, Project Management, & Product Implementation, Supplier Performance, Product Reliability & Warranty.
- Ability to articulate the company's business requirements and objectives to the OEM Supply Chain so that all OEM suppliers are properly aligned for success.
- Coordinate and facilitate with New Product Development (NPD) team to ensure proper product implementation and transition from launch team to the OEM Business Unit.
- Work cohesively with Sub-Zero Group's Demand Planning, Forecasting, Sales Operations, Product Management, Affiliated Distributors, Import-Export, Transportation, Compliance and International Sales Managers to optimize the OEM business, model mix and inventory levels.
- Lead or assist in sourcing and re-sourcing of OEM suppliers to optimize Sub-Zero Group's strategic business alliances.
- Serve as a commodity specialist by tracking market trends and economic conditions affecting assigned commodities.
- Submit timely reports concerning price trends, market conditions that affect supply, and recommendations for substitute materials and processes.
- Develop standard costs based on market/economic factors and projected price changes.
- Compose and execute contractual OEM Agreements that provide the lowest risk to the Company as well as conducting on-going negotiations and actions to ensure the best interests of the Company are protected during the life of the contract.
- Analyze and explain any purchasing variances that occur.
- Special projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- 2-year degree or better
- (1) to three (3) years’ experience in supply chain management
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience of purchasing materials in a manufacturing environment
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM)
- Experience or training in Six Sigma and/or Lean
- SAP experience
