Responsibilities:
Position Summary: Perform the functions of corporate purchasing and DC replenishment, inventory planning, and order creation/execution for assigned product group. Outcomes ensure product availability for standard and promotional demand, improves service level, meeting inventory goals and customer service reply objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate, maintain, confirm and transfer planned purchase orders in LN to replenish DC Inventory using LN system and replenishment methods as developed.
  • Review and manage rescheduling messages from DC MRP process.
  • Manage the ordering process of the items that are not stocked within the LN system by DC daily.
  • Monitor and analyze item forecasts by DC using statistical forecast models to minimize forecast error. Review and manage demand. Coordinate and communicate forecast requirements, supersedes, and discontinuances with suppliers.
  • Review, analyze and resolve or present corrective actions to appropriate group for process issues involving internal and external customers.
  • Make recommendations to improve and maintain optimal inventory and service levels and to improve the flow of purchased product through our distribution network. Work with product management, demand management and distribution to meet life cycle requirements.
  • Monitor and analyze DC performance against inventory and service level goals and report exceptions to Demand.
  • Expedite purchase orders from internal and external sources including set assembly. Resolve P/O receipt issues. Request cycle counts and/or proof of delivery as needed. Interface with Accounts Payable to review and correct invoice discrepancies.
  • Obtain and create Customer Service replies regarding availability and shipment requests.
Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • BA Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field with strong analytical background or a minimum of 3 to 5 years in one of the following disciplines; planning, supply chain, or forecasting.
  • Knowledge of supply chain principles. MPS/MRP competency required. APICS certification preferred.
  • Familiarity of ERP (Prefer Infor LN) software, Web based supply purchasing software and Microsoft Office products.
  • Effective communication (written, oral) and strong interpersonal skills required. Must be a self starter who is able to work independently and also within a team environment.
  • Good judgement required. Is accustomed to the normal routing of the expediting process and knows when to escalate issues to management.
  • Possesses the following individual characteristics: flexibility, conscientious, decisive, persistent, patient, high energy and self motivated.
  • Displays the following competencies: cooperative, consistent, committed, adherent to standards and innovative.
