Position summary

Check in items that come to Great Northern Corporation and distribute these items to the correct locations. Conduct inventory of raw materials and update items checked out by maintenance personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in a continuous improvement and effectively communicate opportunities to improve efficiencies and effectiveness for this position.
• Conduct weekly and end of month inventory of raw materials
• Complete inventory report for the end of each month (prices and quantity of raw materials) for the accounting department.
• Check in all items from UPS
• Perform daily checks in parts checkout out of parts room and order parts as needed
• Daily mail pickups
• Order items that are needed from vendors
• Record water meter readings daily for water and energy reports
• Know Buyers job and occasionally fill in when needed or directed.
• Enter all MSDS sheets in the computer
• Make miscellaneous deliveries and pickups as needed.
• All other duties assigned

Additional Responsibilities

• Must be able to make major decisions in the following areas:
• Purchasing
• Receiving
• Inventory
• Prioritizing
• Must maintain frequent contact with everyone employed at Great Northern Corporation.
• Must maintain frequent contact outside of the company with all Great Northern Vendors
• Requires between 10% - 15% of travel time
