Business Systems Analyst II
Job Purpose
This role serves as a functional expert who works for change and improvement through continual, successful technology implementations. Acts as a critical liaison between the business stakeholders and the development team. Translates, transforms, and interprets Business needs and requirements into technical software specifications.
Essential Responsibilities
Responsibility % Of Time
Requirements Gathering and Analysis: 40%
Responsible for working with stakeholders to understand their business needs and
requirements. This includes conducting interviews, workshops and surveys, and analyzing data to identify patterns and trends.
Solution Design and Implementation: 25%
Based on the gathered requirements, the analyst is responsible for designing and
implementing solutions using technology. This includes creating functional and technical specifications, as well as testing and validating the implemented systems.
Testing and Maintenance: 25%
The analyst is responsible for ensuring that the implemented systems meet the needs of
the stakeholders. This includes creating test plans and scenarios, executing tests, and identifying and resolving issues. They are also responsible for maintaining and updating the implemented systems as necessary.
Training and Support: 10%
The analyst is responsible for providing training and support to end users. This includes
creating training materials and conducting training sessions, as well as providing ongoing support to ensure that the users are able to effectively use the implemented systems.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with the ability to focus with close attention to detail.
- Strong facilitation skills in eliciting and analyzing requirements.
- Experience with various techniques (brainstorming, MOSCOW (Must, Should, Could or Would), MOST (Mission, Objectives, Strategies and Tactics, SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats), and PESTLE Analysis
- Excellent listening, persuasion, verbal and writing communication skills.
- Experience with and understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and Project Management methodologies for waterfall and/or agile.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, SQL, and other tools used in this role Ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
- Ability to operate independently and manage complex assignments and concurrent tasks. Proven experience building relationships and collaborating with business partners.
