Business Systems Analyst
Hybrid 3 days/week, Full time M-F 8am-5pm PST

The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing business processes, identifying areas of improvement, and designing and implementing technology-based solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Will work closely with various stakeholders across various departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications for the development team.
Job Responsibilities
Provide expertise to stakeholders to identify and analyze business needs; develop business requirements and translate into technical specifications. This includes but is not limited to defining scope, objectives, feasibility, review, recommend business processes, improve system efficiencies, documentation, and increase user satisfaction.
Conduct business requirements sessions gather, understand, define, and document (diagrams, workflow maps, or other visuals) business requirements. Review and communicate meeting minutes and notes for review.
Conduct independent research, including compiling and analyzing data from various databases/sources.
Interpret information, ideas and instructions and communicate clearly and accurately both verbally and in writing including materials intended for distribution.
Translate business requirements into written technical requirements, including creating stories and related documentation.
Develop and execute test plans and scripts, as well as other quality assurance measures and establishing testing standards. Lead and perform testing such as QA, user acceptance, performance, security, usability, etc.
Lead projects, provide project management, and related communications. Provide timely dissemination of communications including meeting minutes, updates, session reviews, plans, and related documentation.
Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities
3 to 5 years' experience in a similar function.
Proficient in both SQL and Python.
Great understanding of financial services applications and systems.
Excellent communication skills and ability to lead and manage meetings.
Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts (ETL, data models, data marts, others), systems, and business and technical requirements documentation.
Have working knowledge of BI tools, specifically Tableau.
General knowledge of data science models and deployments.
Have knowledge and experience in managing projects, project management, conducting interviews, running meetings, and JAD sessions a plus.
