Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager (Pharr, TX), Duties incl: Supervises, directs, & reviews the work of the accounting staff ( incl , but not limited to , cash & trust account statement reconciliation's, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, debt activity, recording of revenue & expenses; Oversees the daily accounting activities req'd to maintain the Authority's general ledger; Cash mgmt (incl placement /movement of funds in various trusts); Maintains organized set of detailed records & files to document financial transactions; Resolves complex accounting issues or assists other authority personal in resolving financial issues; Reviews general ledger on a mnthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting; Produces financial reports involving the authoritys trust accounts for mnthly board meetings; Coordinates mnthly, quarterly, & annual financial closing activities; Produces quarterly & annual financial statements & financial reports; & makes & implements recommendations to improve accounting processes & procedures. Preparing annual financial statements and coordinating the authority annual audits. A Bach's deg in Accounting or its foreign equiv + 60 mnths exp as an Accountant.
