The California State Library's Business Services Office is looking for a Support Analyst to conduct and assist in the research, evaluation, planning, and directing of a wide variety of special projects. Under the general direction of the Business Services Office Manager, you'll play a vital role in developing and documenting new workflow processes, along with recommending improvements to existing Business Services operations.

Working Conditions
This position is office-centered at our headquarters in the City of Sacramento and may become hybrid in the future, per the State Library's Telework Policy.

The mission of the California State Library is to empower the people of the nation's most diverse and populous state by:

The California State Library serves the people of California in several ways and is made up of the Administrative Services Bureau, the California Research Bureau, State Library Services, the Information Technology Bureau and Library Development Services.
These bureaus ensure that the California State Library is the central reference and research library for state government and the Legislature and provides non-partisan research to the Legislature and the Governor. The California State Library collects, preserves, generates and disseminates information ranging from California's priceless historical items to today's online texts, and it advises, consults with, and provides technical assistance to California's public libraries, all while directing state and federal funds to support local public libraries and statewide library programs, and services.
The State Library is home to public reading rooms including Information Services, Government Publications, the Law Library, the Braille and Talking Book Library, and the California History Room. It also plays host to Night at the State Library, annual community events like Juneteenth, the Archives Crawl, Museum Day and exhibits you won't find anywhere else!

  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power Point, Forms, Visio, etc.
  • Experience as an attendance coordinator.
  • FI$CAL experience.
  • Equipment and supply coordinator experience.
