Job Summary:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to processing, document drawing, funding, and some loan servicing functions of Business/Commercial loans. Provides customer service in the absence of the Business/Commercial Loan Officer.
Responsibilities:
- Provides loan processing services for loan officers within the Business Department. Generates and maintains required loan documentation to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and credit union requirements. Reviews approved credit memos to understand the type and structure of the loan in order to correctly identify the necessary loan documents and fund the loan accurately and in a timely manner. Coordinates loan closings with lending personnel and third-party ancillary services for loan closings and funding. Responsible for ordering title commitments, appraisals, surveys, work orders, etc. Complete regulatory due diligence to validate information required for documentation; obtain and/or conduct a thorough review of corporate and collateral documentation, i.e., certificates of existence, flood determinations, appraisals, lien searches, title searches/commitment to check for accuracy, completeness and compliance with loan approval guidelines and internal policies. Coordinates with the BAR for account set up.
- Conduct a post funding review, and cross check core systems to ensure the loan is booked correctly. Ensure all post-closing documents (DOT, filed UCC, HMDA, etc.) and the final title policy are received and review for accuracy. Maintains filing and tracking systems to assure all required items are received and in compliance. These items include loan documents, insurance, title documents for all collateralized loan types, and any other paperwork associated with the loan.
- Identify, input and maintain outstanding tickler items and reports to ensure follow-up items are being reported, tracked and resolved properly. Provides checklists of needed documents to the assigned Loan Officer/Manager. Keeps lender aware of documentation exceptions. Maintains department reports as requested. These include daily, monthly and quarterly portfolio reports.
- Assists with walk-ins, call ins and other forms of member inquiries, applications and issues. Assists with cross-selling the company’s products and services. Maintains loan payments and collection efforts for past due items.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Qualifications and Skills:
EXPERIENCE
- Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
- A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
- A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.
Other Skills
- Ability to perform collateral perfection, including real property and UCC Must be PC literate; experience with LaserPro, TSoft or other SBA software and banking software a strong plus
Minimum starting wage: $21.48
