Home Equity Loan Processor, Plano, TX

• We're looking for a Full-Time Home Equity Loan Processorwho will maintain quality lending standards, assemble and verify loan documents for accuracy. Research information on loan applications and resolve discrepancies. Process loan applications and perform a variety of support duties related to the lending function within the Credit Union. Provide excellent support to members and frontline staff while processing and servicing all Home Equity-related products.
• Our ideal candidate will make anywhere between $20.93 – $22.09 an hour for this position.
• Will follow a Monday-Friday with 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. work schedule.

What about the Duties & Responsibilities?

The Home Equity Loan Processor will work in our Lending department and provide the following as part of their responsibilities:

• Maintain real estate loans by setting up the physical file, confirm lien filings, confirm property taxes are paid, and prepare release of liens when loans are paid in full utilizing the paid off report.
• Audit Home Equity Loan files that are worked by others in the department to validate accuracy and verify funded loans have been scanned into the optical system.
• Answer general loan questions received through the department group telephone/email utilizing skills learned in training.
• Support the Sr. Home Equity Processor by working with member(s) to schedule loan closings and prepare closing packages, which includes reviewing closing documents for accuracy, and following up after signing to validate all documents have been signed and notarized correctly.
• Perfect the Credit Union’s interest on deeds of trust and title policies and monitor files outstanding over 90 days old. Work with manager to resolve any overdue outstanding items.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Education/Certification:

• Equivalent to a high school education.

Experience:

• At least one year of similar or related experience or financial experience.

Required Knowledge:

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of federal lending regulations as applicable to Home Equity and Home Equity line of credit loans including HMDA and TILA/RESPA.
• Compliance with Federal Bank Secrecy and Money laundering rules required.
