Our Ideal Data Analytics Director
We are actively seeking a skilled and innovative Power BI Developer with a strong background in healthcare analytics. This individual will play a key role in our Data Analytics team and must have developer experience in DAX programming, Power Query capabilities, and strong MySQL coding skills. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Power BI solutions that provide actionable insights to drive informed decision-making in a healthcare environment.
A Day in the Life...
Power BI Development:

• Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of intricate Power BI solutions, pushing the boundaries of conventional reporting and analytics robust data models.
• Employ ADVANCED DAX programming to create complex calculations, custom measures, and calculated columns. DAX Studio experience is a plus.
• Leverage Power Query and M language for advanced data transformations capabilities to transform and clean data from various sources.
• Strong understanding of time-intelligence functions for dynamic date-based analysis.
• Design and implement Row-Level Security (RLS) strategies in Power BI to control data access based on user roles and attributes.
• Demonstrate advanced data visualization techniques using features like bookmarks, drill through, report tooltips, and interactive features for enhanced storytelling.
• Understanding of paginated reports using SQL Server Report Builder.

MySQL Coding:

• Specialize in the extraction of data from MySQL databases and apply expert knowledge in star schema design, ensuring the retrieval processes meet the organization's data via transformation, and loading from MySQL/Maria databases.
• Analyzing and optimizing complex queries such as optimizing joins, subqueries, parameters, and GROUP BY operations

Data Integration:

• Integration of data from multifaceted sources into the Power BI environment, leveraging the structured and organized architecture of an on-premises data warehouse.
• Collaborate with other teams to streamline data integration processes and ensure data consistency and uphold a strong commitment to data integrity and cleaning across 70+ software instances.

Analytical Skills:

• Lead the development, analysis, and interpretation of financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
• Create visually appealing and user-friendly dashboards and reports in Power BI
• Conduct comprehensive variance analysis, highlighting key drivers and providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
• Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify opportunities for cost optimization and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with expertise in DAX programming and Power Query.
• Experience leading an analytics team and managing team member workstreams
• Strong MySQL coding skills with a focus on efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
