We have an immediate opening for an energetic, passionate & experienced Full Time Professional to join our IT team as a Business Intelligence Developer.
This position is responsible for all stages of the Business Intelligence cycle: understanding business objectives, gathering business requirements, and translating them into data requirements, gathering required data, designing, and developing reports or dashboards (code and visualization) using SAP business objects, scheduling and deployment of Business Intelligence components in accordance with supplied standards and best practices. Writing complex queries, packages, stored procedures, functions, views or triggers in Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server. Collaborate with business to understand system data and its use, data analysis and unit testing, and provides support around the data and how it is integrated. Create new integrations using Boomi and tables to connect multiple sources in BI system. Mentors and assists business to develop a deep understanding of the data, its use, and the structure of reports and dashboards.
Job Qualifications:
Experience Required or Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent training & experience required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years progressively improved business experience that includes software development process using PL/SQL (Must), MS SQL
- Should be able to create oracle packages, store procedures, functions, etc.
- Optimization of queries and its performance
- Develop BI universe and reports in SAP Business Objects
- Setup and manage report publications, BO server administrations and reporting code migration
- Keep track of scheduled jobs to make sure reports are generated in a timely manner and data is accurate
- Develop new integrations with Boomi
- Understanding of VBA development for Excel
- Understanding of how WEB APIs and Web Hooks
- Previous retail/supply chain systems experience is required
- Experience with managing tasks using JIRA

- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills required
- Ability to function independently, self-motivated and responsible
- Ability to multi-task, understand 'linkages' in processes and document or flow chart business processes required
- Strong analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and critical thinking skills are required
- Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
Responsibilities:
- Perform requirement gathering with business end-users
- Create and maintain technical documentation that includes design, requirements, testing and user manuals
- Identify the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability
- Keep stakeholders up to date by providing communications on occasional basis throughout projects and continuous improvement efforts
- Create cutover and contingency plans, provide communication about deployments, validate successful deployments
- Monitor BI group email distribution for any user issues and respond as issues arise
- Understand current business application processes, usage, and operations
- Develop code and documentation to guide users for right usage of system
- Attend project & team meetings and assist team members to resolve issues quickly
- Provide on call support on a rotational basis, attend to user production issues with utmost urgency
- Engage other team members as needed to resolve production issues
- Understand the work being performed as per organizational roadmap
- Follow team standards for coding, testing and deployments; perform code reviews as needed
Other Information:
The pay range for this position is: $90,000k - $110,000k per year. Please note that the foregoing compensation information is a good-faith assessment associated with this position only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Salary Transparency Law.
