The Business Intelligence Application Developer is a remote, work from home position and is responsible for RxBenefits’ data and developing and maintaining content in our current BI tool, Qlik Sense. This position works with various individuals within the organization including the data engineering team, analytics team, product management team, and others. Related products include SQL (Snowflake), Python scripting, Qlik AutoML, Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and pharmacy claim files and data.
Essential Job Responsibilities Include:
- Design and develop Qlik reporting and dashboarding solutions to meet business needs, including contributing to new Qlik projects, while supporting and enhancing existing solutions
- Drive the adoption of reports and dashboards created by gathering feedback from Qlik users within the company
- Perform full end-to-end development of BI reporting needs, from schema creation to production ready dashboards and reports
- Translate business requirements into production reports for internal departments
- Assist in defining, developing, designing, prototyping, testing, and supporting the implementation of dashboards
- Design and build metrics, attributes, dashboards and reports using Qlik based on the needs of the business and utilizing data from multiple sources
- Develop ETL, workflows, and automated reporting solutions as needed by the business using Qlik
- Lead the creation of dashboards to provide analysis and actionable intelligence to business leaders
- Maintain the governance structure within Qlik to ensure compliance with data regulations
- Build and maintain datasets, data structures, and dashboards in Qlik with emphasis on data accuracy
- Assist in brainstorming and managing continued innovation and enhancements of RxBenefits data and reporting infrastructure
- Adhering to RxBenefits Information Security Management System as well as all other company policies
Required Skills / Experience:
- 3+ years’ relevant experience managing and administering a Business Intelligence tool
- 3+ years development experience with SQL, some familiarity with Snowflake preferred
- 3+ years working with analytics scripting language such as Python, R, SAS
- Qlik experience is required
- Bachelor’s degree required; preferred focus in computer science, math, health informatics or related field
- Track record of successful project delivery
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-team problem solving ability
- Demonstrated data visualization literacy and the ability to select visualizations appropriate for a given business need
- Experience with public embed and single sign on functionalities
- Experience in data security management at the individual user level
- Good working knowledge with designing, building and supporting data Visualizations that deliver business insights and drive decision making for the business
- Experience in data modeling
