Green Wave Electronics is a well-established, rapidly growing electronics recycling and reverse logistics company currently operating in several major markets. We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative to join our Northern NJ branch and contribute to its growth and expansion.
Job Purpose
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, building strategic relationships, and driving revenue. This multifaceted role encompasses various aspects of sales, marketing, account management, strategic partnerships, and market analysis.
Business development for the Tri-State area requires living in area and knowledgeable of the NYC Metro area for travel and conferences.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Client Acquisition:
● Develop and execute effective sales strategies to acquire new clients, focusing on the private sector.
● Utilize various lead generation methods, including cold calling, email campaigns, and trade shows (2-4 per year)
● Qualify leads and work to schedule material collection appointments
● Effectively implement service fees to maximize account revenue
2. Strategic Partnerships and Alliances:
● Identify and explore opportunities for strategic partnerships with downstream vendors throughout the Northeast
● Establish compliance and negotiate mutually beneficial terms and pricing.
● Leverage partnerships to enhance product offerings and market reach.
● Develop and implement lead generation strategies to identify potential buyers for finished goods
3. Account Management:
● Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
● Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and tailor solutions.
● Regularly communicate with clients to provide updates, gather feedback, and address any concerns
● Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a relevant field.
● Minimum 2 years of experience in Business Development, B2B sales, or a related field, preferably in the IT industry.
● Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
● Valid driver’s license
● Well-groomed and professional appearance
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRMs such as salesforce, or ability to learn different software programs
● Familiarity with IT/electronics equipment
● Must possess strong customer service, sales and negotiating, decision making, time management, and troubleshooting skills while maintaining confidentiality where needed and when appropriate.
● Must be detail-oriented, accurate, and self-driven/motivated and able to effectively communicate with fellow employees and management.
● Must be a responsible person that is comfortable working, at times, independently and in a diverse work environment.
● Must successfully complete pre-employment screenings, including drug screening.
● Travel required in Tri-State Area and NYC Metro Area. Can work from our New Jersey location or from home.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
