We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team at Onduline. The primary focus of this role is to promote and sell our diverse range of roofing panels and related products to building material distributors, metal roofing manufacturers, and carport, shed, and greenhouse builders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a proven track record in sales, and experience in the building materials industry. This candidate must be located within 250 miles of Fredericksburg, VA.
- Promote and sell Onduline's products and services to a variety of manufacturers and builders utilizing our products
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers and influencers inside key accounts
- Develop and execute sales and marketing plans in support of current business and create targeted growth strategies to increase sales revenue and profitability
- Create, maintain, and execute new sales plans, including target account prospects, sales cycle plans, project revenue, project decision dates, and project implementation/first service dates
- Work closely with the Vice President of Sales to drive sales programs with assigned accounts
- Collaborate with internal teams including Logistics, Marketing, Procurement, Operations, and Credit teams to support assigned accounts
- Take ownership of sales in the local market while building a national network of key distribution partners
- Develop KPIs, coach, mentor, and educate internal sales and operations teams as to the specific needs of the assigned accounts
- Plan and execute market shops and develop detailed reporting and action plans
- Continuously monitor competitive situations and develop and implement aggressive plans to defend and grow our market position
- Approximately 50-75% travel
Requirements
- At least 5 years of sales experience with a proven track record in the building material industry
- Exemplary organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth, and hands-on environment
- Exceptional communication skills both orally and in writing
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM software
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%.
