Business Development Leader, E-mobility

Business Development Leader specializing in Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Infrastructure, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping our EV-Charging strategy and driving business growth in the Charge-point Operator (CPO) Market. This is a US based, remote role, however, we require up to 50% travel nationally to support key development efforts, while also thriving in an independent work environment.
Your responsibilities
- Lead the identification and cultivation of nascent business opportunities within the Charge-point Operator (CPO) Market
- Establish and maintain a robust database of decision-makers within CPO services organizations, staying abreast of EV policy, adoption trends, and Charging Infrastructure implementation
- Develop and execute a comprehensive plan for responding to segment RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs, positioning ABB EV Charging Infrastructure products and services for success
- Facilitate effective transitions from prospective customers to active accounts, collaborating closely with account managers to ensure seamless handoffs
- Foster and manage partner relationships with independent reps, sales, and service teams, and ABB’s internal sales team, to maximize sales potential
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience in Transportation Electrification sales or technical project management
- Proven track record in initiating and nurturing business relationships in the early stages of the sales cycle, with the ability to build and manage pipelines effectively
- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiations, risk management, and establishing commercial and legal terms is a must
- Knowledge of the Charge-point Operator Services industry and/or the electrical grid is highly preferred
- Target Salary Range: $125,000-$145,000 + 10% annual bonus
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
