Business Development Associate
Wilshire Finance Partners is a direct, portfolio lender and the manager of several real estate debt funds. Since 2008, Wilshire’s short-term, fixed-income, real estate-based private credit investments have delivered Stable Income and Principal Protection® to our investors. The capital in our funds also enables us to deliver a great funding platform for our borrowers, brokers, and loan officers because we deliver execution certainty on loans secured by multifamily, commercial real estate and senior housing facilities through in-house underwriting and approvals using the balance sheets of our funds. In addition, we have strategic relationships for the placement and brokering of permanent multifamily and commercial real estate loans.
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Associate with financial services sales and marketing experience to join our team.

About the Role
In this role, you will work closely with the company’s Chief Executive Officer and other team members to drive marketing and sales initiatives including:
Investments: Partner with our CEO and Vice President of Corporate Services to assist with maintaining existing and developing and nurturing new relationships with investors and advisors. This will include assisting the CEO with capital raising and investment sales.
Lending: Partner with our CEO, Underwriters, Analysts and Processors to assist with maintaining existing and developing and nurturing new relationships with owners, operators, investors and brokers in the seniors housing, multifamily, and commercial real estate sector. This will include assisting the CEO with loan origination and loan closing.
Real Estate Acquistions: Assist the CEO, Underwriters and Analysts with the review, coordination and closing of real estate investments.
Marketing & Research: Partner with the CEO and our Marketing Director to assist with marketing, research and special projects. This will include helping with the management of the CRM system and databases as well as assisting with driving various marketing initiatives from ideas to execution.
About You
Bachelor's Degree in business, management, finance, marketing, or similar major.
3 years or more of experience in securities sales, commercial mortgage lending, or the equivalent.
Strong phone sales skills (heavy phone contact required.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High achiever, honest, persistent, and hard working.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Ability to take initiative with minimal direction, to work on multiple transactions simultaneously, and to meet deadlines.
Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
Working experience with database and spreadsheet use and management.
Ability to quickly learn, adapt to, and apply new information and processes.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
SIE, Series 63/66, Series 7/22 in good standing highly desired or ability to obtain within 4 months of hire.
