About the role
We are looking for a Business Development Associate who will work closely with the Business Development team to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth and expand our market presence. This role reports directly to the executive leading the Revenue / Business Development function.
What you will do
You will play a key role in identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the overall growth and success of our company. You will work closely with the Business Development team to develop and execute strategies that drive revenue growth and expand our market presence.
You will support Business Development efforts:
Identify and prospect potential customers, helping to build a pipeline of Business Development opportunities
Support the scaling of our Business Development processes
Create pitch decks for each potential customer, utilizing standard decks and adjusting for customer-specific situations
Update pitch deck templates as we expand our products and capabilities
Design program pricing and budget for each potential customer
Track and report on Business Development activities, lead generation, and conversion rates
Participate in customer pitches to help close deals
You will own our biopharma industry analytics function:
Monitor industry trends, biopharma company news, and other relevant developments to better position ourselves to customers
Conduct research on potential customers (e.g., therapeutic assets and development stage, potential internal champions)
You will grow with the company:
Manage team of graduate school and undergraduate school interns
Potential to hire and manage team as company grows
What will help you succeed in this role:
2+ years experience in an analytical role in management consulting, investment banking, biopharma, or a tech company
Fluency with slide decks, customer presentations, other client-facing materials
Experience with market and customer research to understand capabilities and industry trends
Some things that are preferred but not required (or you will learn on the job):
Knowledge and experience with biopharma or healthcare industry

The salary range for this role is $70,000-$144,000 annually. Actual compensation offered will depend on several factors including but not limited to: work experience, education, skill level, and/or other business and organizational needs.

This is a hybrid role that will require working on-site 3 days a week in San Francisco. Local candidates only. Relocation is not offered for this role.
