Summary:
The Business Analyst/Project Manager role in Corporate Technology is a critical function.
The team is responsible for requirements documentation, project delivery, program management, domain knowledge, and collaboration with all teams involved in the software development lifecycle.
The team covers all post-trade support including all middle office and back office functions: trade capture, position keeping, operations, treasury, finance, compliance, human resources, investor relations, procurement, etc.
This particular role will be focused heavily on the implementation of a new portfolio accounting system and the integration of internal systems in order to accurately generate the required Financial Statement reporting.
Principal Responsibilities
Project delivery of Corporate Technology-sponsored and business-driven projects
Develop and document business requirements for specific projects
Data analysis on specific requirements for technology projects
Understanding of various financial products (Fixed Income, Equity, and Commodities) and critical data in the transaction lifecycle
Communication of requirements to development and testing teams
Developing and enforcing project governance for various initiatives and ensuring consistent communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications/Skills Required
7+ years of hands on experience with business analysis in financial services
Proven track record of hands-on project delivery experience across the SDLC at an Investment Bank, Software Vendor, Exchange or ATS, or Buy Side Firm
Strong data controls experience (Gresham experience a plus)
Geneva Implementation experience (Or similar portfolio accounting system)
Experience with development methodologies including waterfall or agile, for example
Experience coordinating projects across multiple teams / functional areas
Ability to communicate at detailed levels to development teams and users and executive updates to senior stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an independent/self-starter work ethic
