Index Analytics is seeking an Analyst to support Government clients in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Metro Area. The Analyst will collaborate with our customers to define reporting needs, understand project data, and communicate effectively to both business and technical audiences to deliver solutions.
Responsibilities
- Effectively manage request tickets, and work with the project team to ensure their completion.
- Proactively work with a project team to communicate, drive, and monitor project tasking.
- In a timely fashion, organize, attend, and participate in project meetings. Document and follow up on important actions and decisions.
- Communicate effectively with government and external stakeholders.
- Participate in internal team and client meetings
- Collaborate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure the implementation of the data reporting.
- Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies
- Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity
- Update and maintain multiple reports using tools including Excel and other provided tools.
- Support operational analyses, trends analyses, and dashboard development.
- Contribute to quick turnaround data requests from executive-level government stakeholders
- Assist with business process improvement
- Actively participate in internal team and government meetings to discuss status updates, issue resolution, and planning activities
- Identify, analyze, and validate clients’ business requests
- Write a detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify reporting changes (as needed)
- Collaborate with the internal teams to ensure implementation of the needed business, functional, and/or system requirements are implemented
- Provide regular and open communication across the program and stakeholders for transparency and awareness of progress and impediments
- Drive delivery and continuous improvement by utilizing feedback and metrics to identify areas of opportunity
Skills
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with short turnaround times
- Well organized and detailed oriented
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced Excel skills
- Understand, visualize, and manage upstream/downstream dependencies
- Experience with data work flows, data modeling, and data analysis
- Experience with MS Office suite including data extraction and manipulation using Excel
- Ability to execute Python scripts to return expected data for daily, weekly, monthly and report execution.
Qualifications
- US citizen, or lived in the US for 3 of the last 5 years
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant discipline required
- 4+ years of experience managing customers’ requests including confirming requirements and reports while maintaining quality standards
- Demonstrated ability to break down tasks into actionable work items
- Demonstrated ability to work with analytics teams to discuss technical concepts, make tradeoffs to remove roadblocks, and evaluate new ideas
- Ability to obtain Public Trust level clearance
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and oral communication required
- Prior experience with Center for Medicare Medicaid Services or other Govt agencies is a plus
