Job Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to be involved in gathering information and writing requirements for various products and processes to improve our systems, reports, and dashboards. The successful candidate will be able to work closely with our product management and engineering teams to help continuously improve the systems that serve our customer base.
The role primarily focuses on gathering and analyzing the business requirements of internal and external clients and translating them into meaningful specifications. Your main tasks will include holding requirements sessions, documenting requests, and performing some user acceptance testing. You will also be tasked with researching and analyzing customer data and assisting with creating and maintaining customer reports and dashboards.
To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.
About the Day-to-Day Responsibilities of the Role
- Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and participating in the development and implementation of solutions.
- Conduct requirements sessions with internal and external users to gather critical information to gain an understanding of clients’ needs
- Translate business requirements into appropriate requirements, sometimes technical, for the developers to generate data models and effective visualizations that meet the needs of the customers
- Work closely with clients, developers, and managerial staff to ensure solutions meet business needs and requirements
- Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.
- Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
- Create documentation for training purposes and support client training initiatives
- Perform user acceptance testing of visualization solutions developed
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing role or equivalent experience
- 2 to 3 years experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Excellent planning, customer service, organizational, analytical, conceptual thinking, and time management skills.
- Excellent oral/written communication and documentation skills required including technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or Tableau
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Claims data reporting experience preferred
- Data processing experience preferred
