Scheduled Work Hours: Monday - Friday, typically 7:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.Job may require additional work hours to support operation functions.
Summary of Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for identifying, reporting, and analyzing of all work generated for the department. Will review completed work and provide feedback/corrections when incorrect. This position will also provide recommendation for operation improvements regarding reporting, staffing levels and efficiencies for DSO Metro and DSO Kansas.
- Collaborate with Operational Analytics to identify process improvements and report them with data driven information with the end customer (Internal or External) in mind.
- Work with DSO Metro and DSO Kansas to create and manage department reports for Leadership and Operators.
- Assist in communicating reports from the Asset Management and PeopleSoft systems.
- Work with supervision to determine appropriate schedules to accomplish all specific functions on a daily basis as well as maintain support for other business units as needed.
- Assist supervisors with monthly expense reports, invoice processing, fleet mileage reports, weekly overtime lists, facilities work requests, room reservations, special event planning, crew training coordination, courier coordination and weekly time approval.
- Serve as an active voice in driving improvements.
- Create and manage department reports for Leadership, assist in communicating reports from the Asset Management and PeopleSoft systems.
- Assist in the development and communication of reports measuring compliance with SOX, NERC, FERC and other regulatory requirements, Safety and OSHA.
- Review completed work and provide feedback/corrections when incorrect.
- Assists with entering information into PeopleSoft for purchasing, budget tracking, invoices, work orders, and receiving.
- Demonstrate a high sense of accountability, responsibility, confidentiality, and professionalism.
- Perform other duties as required to support the day to day operations of DSO Kansas.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Prefer Bachelor's degree. Relevant experience includes coordinating scheduling, analyzing trends and supervising. Entry level candidates will be considered. Work experience must support ability to work independently, assimilate and process diverse information, and communicate effectively with management and stakeholders.
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required:
Successful candidate must be very detail oriented and must be able to deal with large volumes of data and maintain a high level of accuracy. Requires strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. Understanding of Analytical/Data Mining Systems (i.e., PowerBi, Tableau, SQL).PeopleSoft experience or related systems experience is preferred.Must have the ability to apply creative problem solving and sound reasoning.Must be able to handle multiple priorities, and process information in an accurate, orderly and timely manner.Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines.Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team. Experience in resolution and root cause analysis, problem identification, business analysis. Good administrative and technical abilities to deal with large volumes of data and deal with multiple priorities and projects. Working knowledge of Windows, databases and spreadsheets required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present information to other work groups in a concise manner. Must be able to work effectively with others in a team environment and build relationships with all customers and work groups. Must demonstrate exceptional skills in interpersonal relations, self-motivation, and organization.
Licenses, Certifications, Bonding, and/or Testing Required:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Working Conditions:
Office and field working conditions.May require work beyond normal hours and occasional overnight travel.Must have a satisfactory work record including excellent attendance.
