Job Description
Advantexe, an EdTech company, is an award-winning world leader in the design, development, and delivery of cloud-based simulation-centric learning solutions for businesses around the world. The Business Analyst position at Advantexe is responsible for helping to create, deploy, and maintain Advantexe’s award-winning business simulations. The Business Analyst is a critical member of the simulation development team and has two primary functions: 1. Working with Subject Matter Experts (SME), solution architects, and simulation modelers to conduct research on the base conditions and industry trends that would drive, affect, and improve the outcomes of the simulations when being developed, and 2. Helping to deploy the simulations in virtual, in-person, and blended workshops. The key responsibilities of the position will include:
- Simulation Industry Research - Identify and verify simulation base conditions and assumptions including:
- Industry size
- Company-specific financial terms
- Product life cycle analyses
- Competitive environment
- Standard industry Gross margins
- Industry trends
- Potential company initiatives, wobblers, and scenarios
- Helping develop model effects from scenarios
- Participation in customizing calls to learn more about the client
- Development of the overall simulation story
- Simulation Wireframes, Development, and Content
- Work with development teams to wireframe the entire simulation including all user interface interactions
- Work with development teams to manage project flow and identify simulations variables
- Develop simulation content that explains decision sets and helps guide users during the simulation experience
- Create all supporting simulation material including user manuals and teaching guides
- Simulation Testing – play through all parts of a simulation to ensure the simulation works flawlessly including:
- Simulation model assumptions
- Assuring variables react in the correct manner and drive the proper outcome of metrics and financial statements
- Simulation Delivery
- Travel to company sites and use virtual delivery tools like Zoom and Microsoft Teams to help facilitate and deliver simulations to client user audiences
- Provide insight for debriefings for facilitators
Skills Required
- Business background and base level understanding of economics and financial management is a must
- A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel is a must
- Exceptional writing, presentation, and communication skills
- Must be a self-motivated team player
